Journal of Baby #3

I can't believe my eyes baby makes 5!!!

It was just a normal morning.  Getting the kids and I ready for myself to go to the Center where they go for daycare and I work.  I gave Isla her vitamin and I took my prenatal vitamin. As soon as I could swallow it- it had come right back up.  That's weird I thought, I never have had problems taking my pills before.

Then....I had a thought...my milk while breastfeeding Deakin had started to subside (I didn't really think anything about that because that was about the time Isla had decided she didn't really care if it was Mommy's milk, formula or regular milk.  I just thought maybe my body just was self weening because of the timeline with Isla for Deakin). Maybe, when I was finished with work I would go purchase a pregnancy test--IT was going to be negative-I couldn't be pregnant-Right?

So,after work I had made a stop at our local Walmart. Purchased the 88 cent pregnancy test.  Yes, 88 cent pregnancy test.  With our others I had spent way more-and the 88 cent one is just as effective I had found-because let's face it if you are pregnant-you are pregnant--whether you spend 88 cents or $15 you will get the results. I did give Maceo a little heads up that I was going to buy a test.

That night I had woke up to pee it was 2:00 am.  I hadn't been sleeping well and I figured why not?  It was going to be negative so maybe if I just took the test I would be able to get some sleep because that was all I was thinking and was unable to sleep well anyways.

Here were my results:

POSITIVE!!

All sorts of emotions ran through my head-I was extremely excited!!  I couldn't wait-I love being a Mommy and would love a huge family.  ALTHOUGH, I was thinking that we were going to try to space the kids out a little more than we did Isla and Deakin (we did plan theirs that way).  Then I was scared- what if I lose this child like I did the one before?  That was the worst most horrible experience EVER!!  Then the thought of how are we going to pay for all of this? Back to extremely happy!  And excited again.....

I couldn't just go back to bed--I wasn't going to be able to sleep.  So, I had to go wake Maceo.  I went to his side and said "honey..." he opened his eyes "honey, I can't believe my eyes, but we are going to be a family of 5!!"  It took a second for it all to sink in.  Once it did-you could see all the emotions going through his head too.

I had to schedule an appointment to see how far along I was.  I had only had 2 periods while breastfeeding Deakin and the last period I had with him was June 8th.  That would put me at about 12 weeks....how could that be?  I guess the doctor will let us know.

At the doctors office:
We did the normal routine. Pee, weigh in, get blood drawn and wait.
I heard the heart beat!
The we did an ultra sound. Sure enough there was a little peanut!!

(still typing this part will include pictures)

We are so excited to announce:

Isla Turns 2!!!

Isla Turns 2!  I have been very busy with party planning!  My Little Pony is HUGE in our household, although, not so huge outside.  I have a feeling that Isla is ahead of the crowd, because closer to her birthday I am starting...keyword STARTING...to see more and more of the MLP products.  This is exciting to me for my little girl!

I have been preparing some of the "Thank you" bags for the kids that could come.  I put together a little coloring book for them to be able to color of all the ponies (all pictures below) and some crayons that I  had purchased from Party City. Along with a few other things that Isla really enjoys-Bubbles, chapstick, Stickers and tattoos!!!

Isla had so much fun and so did eveyone else that had come to help us celebrate our special 2 year old!  (pictures to come)
